Customs in RAK
Customs requirements and regulations in Ras Al Khaimah are the same as in the rest of the UAE federation. The majority of foreign trade of the emirate is realized by industrial companies located north and south of the Ras Al Khaimah city and by companies located in the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone.
Its strategic position at the entrance to the Arabian Gulf means that Ras Al Khaimah has the potential to become a trading hub for the UAE and other GCC countries. The Emirate has very good transport connections to the neighboring countries by roads, air and sea.
Key RAK export products include: stone, mica, ceramics and glass formed nearly 100 per cent of RAK exports in 2006.
Key RAK import products: machinery and other equipment, stone, mica, ceramic and glass, products of chemical and allied industries, animals and animal products, other non-classified products.
