RAK FTZ participates in Gulf Food for the fourth year

Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) is once again at the frontline of the Gulf Food Exhibition, this year held from 23rd to 26th of February at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and the new Airport Expo Dubai.

Bringing together 2,965 companies from 72 countries, Gulf Food is a strategic platform that connects buyers and sellers directly. It is a hotspot for the food industry, attracting more than 39,147 trade visitors from 148 countries, with 2008 showing a 20% growth in exhibition space.

“RAK FTZ has always seen great promise with the Gulf Food Exhibition - this is why we participate every year,” says Oussama El Omari, CEO and Director General of RAK FTZ. “It is a vital component of the food industry where buyers, manufacturers and suppliers can conduct business in a market-specific venue.”

“It is also very strategic for us to be here. With over 140 countries coming in, looking for networks and exploring opportunities to expand their business within the region, RAK FTZ is a strong choice for them. We make sure that potential clients can acquire all the information they need, we answer their queries and sign them up on the spot,” he adds.

RAK FTZ will take the opportunity to showcase its competitive advantage, which has made it attractive to a growing number of businesses and trade establishments. This includes the Free Zone’s state-of-the art facilities, quick and friendly service, 100% tax exemption and 100% foreign ownership.

To attract potential parties, they will also highlight RAK FTZ’s transparent laws and regulations, no restrictions on capital and profit repatriation, strategic location close to Dubai, world-class communication facilities and easy access to Ras Al Khaimah international airport and sea port.

Representatives of the free zone expect to sign up a number of interested companies during the exhibition.
