Rules and Regulations
A basic set of rules and operational provisions has been put in place to guarantee the fair and equal treatment of all our investors and employees as well as the businesses operating within RAK Free Trade Zone.
These provisions cover all areas of business operations, including the following:
- Licences and leases (licence types, eligibility for obtaining a licence, licence renewal rules and lease and sub-lease requirements)
- Activities and operations allowed at RAK FTZ (including customs rules)
- Construction and building
- Park regulations (inspection of leased premises, insurance, utility supply and waste)
- Labour (working hours, employment and visa rules, work contract rules, staff employment provisions and labour compensation and accommodation)
- Security
- Termination of lease and licence
- Sanctions for breaches of rules
