INJAZ Training Centre received Certificate of Merit from IFTDO

Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) garnered even more recognition recently – the International Federation of Training and Development Organisations (IFTDO) Certificate of Merit for Global HRD Award 2010.

The recognition brings the INJAZ Training Center into the global forum for showing a strong link between knowledge management and business growth, and excelling in creating an organisational culture in which knowledge is freely disseminated. It is a reform that was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Maryam Al Murshedi Al Shehhi, Deputy Director General at RAK FTZ, who spearheaded the Talent Management Initiative project and brought another international acclaim to the free zone.

“I would like to congratulate Maryam Al Murshedi Al Shehhi and our training department, INJAZ Training Center, for bringing us this international recognition. It's a job well done!” RAK FTZ CEO Oussama El Omari commented upon receiving the news. He added, “It is heartening to know that RAK FTZ is continuously being recognised for excellence, especially as we prepare to celebrate 10 years of business success. This is indeed an historic year for us.”

The INJAZ Training Center’s internationally-acclaimed services are available for clients through RAK FTZ's Mazeed Service Desk, which offers unique value added services to the free zone's customers and partners. The centre operates under the RAK FTZ Authority’s Human Resources Department to increase the business development level of RAK FTZ employees and clients and was previously recognised by the Sheikh Saqr Programme for Government Excellence with the award for 'Best Administrative Practices 2007'.

Annually, IFTDO based in United Kingdom, recognises the contributions of international organisations to the development of Human Resource Development best practice and research. This year, RAK FTZ was selected from among 20 submissions from all over the world which were broken down into following three categories: Knowledge Management; Performance Management, and People Management. Of all the submissions reviewed, 10 were short listed by the Judging Panel for review, and RAK FTZ's talent management initiative, quality of service and training received one of the seven Certificate of Merit awards that will be given during the conference.
