New German Desk launched at RAK FTZ
Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) announced the launch of its German Desk, another value-added service for their German clients, during a gathering held on 1st October at the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa.
In attendance at the much-awaited announcement was His Highness Sheikh Faisal Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Chairman of RAK FTZ, Dr. Peter Göpfrich, CEO of the AHK German-Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce – UAE, and RAK FTZ’s German clients.
The German Desk, available at the RAK FTZ Business Park, aims to assist all German partners and companies within the free zone and will serve as an immediate and quick source of information and an extended service centre. Manned by a dedicated German-speaking RAK FTZ representative, it will provide assistance to all German clients.
“We know our customers; we have studied their needs and requirements; and we have made sure that our value-added offerings will create an excellent business environment for German SMEs that will help them expand internationally and grow their business further through RAK FTZ” shared H. H. Sheikh Faisal.
The German desk is a welcome addition to the long list of RAK FTZ services, especially with the increasing number of German companies within the free zone. For the first half of the year alone, 21 per cent of RAK FTZ registered companies came from the European Union, with over 250
originating from Germany.
“We highly value the contribution of our German partners and clients and we will do everything we can to provide additional support that will help them open up their branch or grow bigger within the UAE,” shared H.H. Sheikh Faisal.
“This is in line with our goal to build a more expansive network of RAK FTZ clients. In the past, we have encouraged our partners and clients to use the services of companies within the free zone and the additional services we provide from them, instead of sourcing them from outside. Through this, we support each other, which is good for business,” he added.
The specialised German desk will complement the existing liaison and promotion office in Cologne, Germany as well as assist in client relations and providing after-sales services to new and existing clients in RAK FTZ.
