GETH Charity Shop - Collection Day

If you have clothes (adult and children), kids toys or any items that won't be in use in your household anymore, please, put them in a bag and donate to the GETH charity.
June 3 is the collection day at the Tower Links Golf Club, during the coffee morning.
For those who are not familiar with the GETH Charity or Getting Them Home, this is a charity here in Ras al Khaimah that helps the prisoners, who have completed their prison terms, to return to their home countries by contributing to the cost of their tickets, helping them to get travel documents and providing other necessary items such as clothes and travel bags when needed.
The charity also helps to care for babies and small children in prison with their mothers by providing clothing, diapers, formula, cots, sheets, blankets and other necessary items. Thus, we are trying to collect used children items.
A Thrift Shop has been established in Nakheel area here in RAK with all the proceeds going to the charity work. The shop is run by volunteers living here in RAK.
Additionally, GETH charity is also asking people to donate small bars of soap, shampoo, baby diapers, formula, toothpaste. These items would be given to the babies that are in prison where their mothers are serving their prison terms.
This charity care is extended to all prisoners without regard for their religion, race or the reason for their imprisonment.
If you cannot bring the items to the Golf Club on June 3, GETH can also do pick ups or you can drop the items at Rina's place located in Khuzam area, near the RAKESS school.
