RAK FTZ Launches new website in GITEX 08

With customer service and ease of communication and transaction always in mind, the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority (RAK FTZA) will launch an innovative, new portal for the free zone during this year's much-awaited GITEX.

The new design, consistent with the free zone's progressive approach to business and development, features vastly-improved navigability, an internal search engine, and a comprehensive business faq section that will explain everything business representatives need to know about setting up a business in the United Arab Emirates, particularly in the emirates of Ras al Khaimah.

“Our priority is always the clients. With this web design overhaul, we have made substantial changes to the site's content that will make looking for and viewing information very easy,” explains Oussama El Omari, CEO and Director General of (RAK FTZA). “To achieve maximum efficiency, we conducted studies of similar websites as well as a survey of our clients’ needs. We are also proud and happy to announce, that the new RAK FTZ website will host an interactive business forum where businessmen and their clients can exchange views regarding the business climate in the UAE – among other business-related topics.”

The new RAK FTZ website will also contain unique information particular to the country like factsheets, statistical data and charts pertaining to location, culture, business environment, setting up companies and visa regulations. The new website also allows RAK FTZ clients to access online trading modules and a direct link to client services provided by the zone to make services as smooth and easy as possible.

“Our vision is to be one of the best free zones in the world,” explains El Omari. “Launching the new, improved RAK FTZ website is only one among the many steps we are actively taking to reach this status.  The new portal, www.rakftz.com, goes beyond the traditional free trade zone online web page too. It is a virtual one-stop shop for everyone interested in or already doing business in the UAE.”
